Robert Hamilton, Finance Director
Bob has over 20 years experience in oil industry finance. He is a chartered accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Following his early professional career in Ireland, principally with the international firm of Ernst & Young, he joined Tullow Oil plc as Group Financial Controller following its incorporation in 1985. He was responsible for the design, development and implementation of Tullow's management information systems, both at its corporate head office in Dublin and its overseas offices in Africa and Asia. Bob played a key role in the various fund raising exercises undertaken by Tullow Oil over the years, including share rights issues, capital funding and the company's successful listing on the Dublin and London Stock Exchanges. Bob also has considerable experience in formulating Production Sharing Agreements, Joint Operating Agreements, and Gas & Oil Sales Agreements. He has particular expertise on the taxation and fiscal regimes prevailing in Eastern Europe and West Africa.
In late 2006 Bob co-founded Blackstairs Energy plc with Gerry Sheehan.
